Lawsuit Against Long Island University

See Court Decision.

Bantle & Levy represents Dr. Edward Rogoff in a lawsuit against Long Island University (“LIU”).

In his lawsuit, Dr. Rogoff alleges that LIU failed to honor certain terms of his employment contract and took certain adverse employment actions against him – including prematurely relieving him of his position as Dean of the University’s School of Business – based on his age and in retaliation for his raising concerns about age discrimination at LIU.

In 2019, LIU’s motion to dismiss Dr. Rogoff’s complaint was denied.  On appeal, a four-judge panel from the Supreme Court of the State of New York’s Appellate Division, Second Department, unanimously affirmed the lower court’s denial of LIU’s motion to dismiss.

David Krauss argued the appeal for Bantle & Levy (David’s argument begins at approximately the 1:19:30 mark).
